The Loop pass - basic drill

15 meter or 20 meter Square grid with four channels can be used to introduce the loop pass. The players should familiarize themselves with the different roles by rotating through the four channels. It is the players in the second and third channels who have the key roles. The player in the second Channel who will become the looping player passes laterally to the player in the third Channel who will become the ball carrier notice how on receiving the pass the ball carrier moves across towards the second Channel and sympathetically pops the ball up for looping player. The exact timing of the pop pass is the decision of the ball carrier. However, the spatial awareness of the looping player and appropriate communication to the ball carrier is important.
