Video Subtitles

The next practice is designed to develop an understanding of the kick Chase. How should we defend against a fullback running at our defensive line after we kick down field? The aim is to develop a Chase team after a kickoff field tracking the opponent as he counter-attacks back at our defense for Defenders start line chest down on the ground a fifth Defender next to the coach plays the chase team on side the coach kicks the ball downfield to a suited attacker who runs at the chase team and tries to beat them the team tracks the ball carrier keeping him Central to their defensive line. Okay, just need to keep it a little bit wider fellas what happened to the outside man? I'll see you could have stayed out. What you don't want is you to get sucked in and he passes the somebody else after the coaches kick the ball v defender puts the chase team on side. The team runs up as a flat defensive line keeping the shape at all times and communicating. They must track the catcher. So he's always in the middle of the defensive line and make the tackle. The line should remain flat and players should avoid stepping in unnecessarily. The attacker should run from different angles and try and beat the defense the chase team must only press as fast as the slowest offender in order to keep the shape. They must communicate track the attacker and make the tackle.
