L2 - Anxiety Touch

Skill Practice Description Two teams play normal rules touch or contact. • Separate to either team are two rogue players to whom the rules do not apply. • These two players may be anywhere at any time including from set piece and their role is to disrupt the attack or the defence in any way they can. • A progression may be for the defence to be allowed to be a metre off side at every tackle and set piece. • These actions will place players under an exaggerated state of pressure they will not be under in a match. • Therefore the match may appear more manageable when the laws of the game are applied as normal.

Okay, the idea of the game today is we're just going to play touch and when you are touch you will just stop and you will lift the ball through your legs. So it has to be caught by one of your teammates. Nobody from the opposition can interfere with that lift. Okay, then and we'll just play and we're just going to play for 30 seconds or so to warm up. Then I'm going to bring some games in which will change the idea of the game. And the whole idea of this game is called anxiety touch and what we're going to do is put a couple of Rogue players in all right to make it difficult for you to react see if you can react to the right in the right manner. Okay, yellows are playing away from me blacks are playing towards me. Okay, Tom Hudson should still have the ball. Okay, Renee play. Good luck line touch. touch touch square up touch good good lovely line Church. What is the rug guys good pies? Okay, come in last one. I'm going to make you slightly different this time that when the defense when the ball goes through the legs and does don't have to get all the way back as long as the coming back as you gotta have people all over the place now. Okay, anybody not clear? All right, and we just change the bibs. Okay, good. All right, good good part. That's alright for communication their past play out.
