Back Play - Attack From Scrum - Older Youth

It’s not a matter of going through a strike move repertoire. It is more about specific selection from the repertoire in order to attack identified targets according to the opposition and game situation
Attacking the space between the two teams is paramount and attacking the ball when running a support line will assist the offload and turn defenders

From this scrum. There is no attack or the defensive line. However, the defense becomes misaligned as a defending inside Center takes a lateral line or the outside Center moves forward this creates an opportunity taken by the red Center. Here the defense has attacked well, but the lateral movement of the offload draws a defense on to the inside Center. Another option may have been to use this player as a decoy while bringing the Blind Side Winger into play in this example. No one attacks. The defense the ball is moved to a strong running outside Center and all the defending backs are drawn across the field to Halt the attack. Here again, the inside backs Act only as link men and the strong running outside Center only just makes the game line. With these older players the passes too early, but the inside Center does attack the space and fixes to Defenders. The attack is well played as is the defense. Here the attack and running lines are worked well, but with a 2V1 created the full-back requires a flat ball to take advantage but the deeper past checks the players run and the opportunity is well covered by the scramble defense.
