Front Row Binding - Walk around Binding

Front Row Binding - Walk around Binding

Video Subtitles

The walk-around bind basically is to reduce the amount of fatigue that's caused during The Binding process. If a player has to reach around his teammate and then pull in that causes muscles to fatigue quite quickly and it's called an isometric contraction where the muscle fibers are under tension, but then either lengthening or shortening, so if you pulled against yourself like that, you can't do that for very long. Okay. So basically you don't want the players to be having to pull in to make the by and tight. So the walk around principle is that you would reach around the player walk around the bind is set by the length of the grip you could adjust that as you get used to playing with various sizes of teammate. But all you have to focus on is that is the grip. Okay, and you'll see later in the in the filming the the principle applied practically with both front row and second row. It's widely used and accepted as a front row behind but less so with the second row the principle is the same the second row would reach through and work around that way reaching on the props legs or for the mini mini scrum around the waistband reaching around and then finding that way you'll see later in the footage that we've filmed that being done by various groups of players. Okay in the get set position right foot forward so that your hips slightly Turned and you feet a fairly narrow but pointing forwards. Okay. Yeah hands up on your head. Okay, Lou said prop binds first somewhere around his sternum or some like that. I'm going to walk and get my feet into position crouching get a bone not too low down.
