Rules of the game. What does it allow us to do what have we got to do to pick them off? Yeah, so which way we're going to move straight forward. We have to go forward the key difficulties often for a coach is getting your message across you can do all the mental preparation you like you can do goal setting you can do Visions. You can have meetings. You can email them. You can text them but one of the key difficulties is always getting your message across how do we think it looks from the outside the game frantic? Yeah. That's that's the best word for it coach. You really have to be flexible mentally to not only understand how they're seeing it but then change your approach so that you can get into their heads. That means if you've got young players many of them work to a great degree in ways that perhaps older coaches don't they use Facebook? They text they Twitter they use lots of new techniques. And it's our job as coaches to understand how they're seeing it. We're looking to get where over the gate line where we're looking to get in. The defense to shoulder right was fundamentally wrong with that. All right, why is there no peace on it? Who puts a piece on so I've done to my footwork a bit in the playoff half beating him is when he managed to tackle me. What can I do now to speed that ball up? Work on the floor, which is exactly that what we've been doing other things. Can you do to communicate in that bread down top speed the ball up telling where you are? If you want to early yeah, or what what am I going to tell him to do? Yeah, keep fighting. It might be that your legs the I drive your legs. Okay, Lee what decision have you got to make now? Yeah, can I work not to South and by doing that? I've not had the Rook up or kind of getting kind of do what do what else roll and by Rolling what we do it. Keep him off here. Keeping the defender off. You're getting the Defenders back. Okay, so let's just see that let's just see a demo of that. Now there's one coach and typically 22 players. I would get you to think about which one is easier to change their perspective. Is it the coach that changes their perspective or is it 22 players who have to understand the coach personally? I think it's the coach's responsibility to be in Rapport and then adapt their style to best suit the people that you are coaching. Okay. First of all a worm grub kick July, when would you use it generally? Maybe if the wing is rushed up and you've got no numbers. Okay important parts about the execution of it Perry. Meanwhile, yep. Okay any of the ball kick it into the floor? Okay, really? Good. All right. What part of the ball are we kicking if you hold the ball up right towards the top. Yep. Okay, so without demonstrations or anything just go away with your partner and just work between halfway and 10 meters reiterate important points about the group. Kick John. Good luck. Good Perry. Just want what do I do? Okay. Look, yeah. Okay whereabouts in relation to your body if The Middle's here. Yep. Okay, just off to the side. Okay, George anything else? Yep. Did we say about where we strike the ball right towards the top of that ball. Yeah and head over the ball all the time really good. Well, don't go through what our principles. Target's do we want to catch the ball early or late catch the ball early. Why do you want to catch the ball early? Okay late and straight. Let's go. As a coach sometimes I'll make a decision to either. Say lots of things and give instructions and sometimes just be quiet and let them get on with it. It's a balance of how you think your style should benefit the players. What did you think of that last game - why so from a conditioning physical point of view? It's hard graft as well. How many decisions have you guys got to be making in there too many a lot. But how are you going to learn? You learn by experience. You learn by practice. You learn by games? Okay. So all these things we do outside of here and drills and moves putting them into game practice with conditions that the coaches can set. Okay, it's good. I've been very conscious that I have been shouting or getting instructions on and just that last set I didn't say a word and it was good that your voices were coming up. Okay, so just be consciously it's more important for you guys to be communicating these what's the most common question I'm asked as a sports psychologist. It's really simple. How do I motivate my players? First message is I don't think you as a coach have to motivate players. I think you have to create an environment where your players are motivated. So my first message is transfer the motivational work to the player. Don't try and do it all yourself.
